Start your wine tasting adventure in Adelaide city. The National Wine Centre of Australia is a great place to begin. It’s on North Terrace in Adelaide and has a neighbouring vineyard. Taste wine from all over Australia.

Penfold’s Magill Estate tour, Adelaide, South Australia

Magill Estate is just 15 minutes from the city centre. Enjoy stunning sunset views and world-famous Penfolds Grange by the glass. Sounds perfect! Take a tour and discover one of South Australia’s earliest vineyards and wineries.

King William Road

Tomich Wines is on King William Road, a few minutes from the centre of Adelaide. Its pretty cellar door is open for wine tasting.

Visit Rundle Street for The Universal Wine Bar, plenty of wine and some tasty food to satisfy you. Duck across the road to Distill for more great wines in a comfortable bar. Around the corner, the Botanic Bar knows a good wine and mixes a great cocktail too!

On the west side of Adelaide, try Cork on Gouger Street. Its impressive display of wines will amaze you. Try the Apothecary 1878 in Hindley Street. Find a nook to settle in and taste some fabulous wines.

Relax in a courtyard

Nearby, The Treasury and La Boheme know their wine. Choose from the Treasury’s courtyard or the quaint La Boheme bar with a French flavour and musical entertainment.

Saldechin on King William Street is in the Heritage Listed former State Savings Bank of SA building. It’s an impressive place to settle back with a glass of wine in hand.

Head underground

The Wine Underground has a passion for wine. You can stay upstairs too! Located on Pirie Street near Hindmarsh Square, choose a wine barrel to stand around at street level or head below for serious wine drinking.

In Norwood, Maxim’s Wine Bar likes a good drop of wine. Find the bar upstairs near the corner of The Parade and George Street.
